Income Insurance

Your employees are your organisation’s most valuable asset. At the same time, illness, disability or death can bring financial risks—for both your employees and your organisation.

Income insurance can help you limit these financial risks while providing your employees with additional financial security. Some types of insurance protect you as an employer against the financial consequences of sick leave, while others are a valuable addition to your employees’ benefits package.

Below, we briefly explain the main types of income insurance.

ANW gap insurance

If an employee passes away, their surviving dependants may face a significant drop in income. ANW gap insurance can provide additional income in many situations.

As an employer, you can offer this insurance on either a mandatory or voluntary basis. This provides employees and their families with additional financial security in the event of a major life event.

WGA gap insurance

If an employee becomes partially disabled after two years of illness, their income may decrease significantly.

WGA gap insurance provides a supplementary benefit to help reduce this loss of income. This gives employees additional financial security when they need it most.

WIA Excess Insurance

For employees with a higher salary, the statutory WIA benefit does not always provide sufficient income in the event of long-term disability.

WIA excess insurance can help compensate for part of this loss of income, providing these employees with appropriate additional financial security.

Sick Leave Insurance

As an employer, you are required to continue paying an employee’s salary for up to two years in the event of illness. Sick Leave Insurance helps limit this financial risk.

Many insurers also provide support with preventing long-term sick leave and helping employees return to work. This not only helps reduce the financial impact of sick leave, but also supports employees in returning to work sooner.
